Metabolic Balance Can Help With Perimenopausal Weight Gain
For over three decades, I’ve spent many years studying the health science of the body, including the various principles of nutrition, biochemistry, physiology and anatomy, to understand better how the body functions for my health and that of my clients.
Even with all this information, in the past few years, as I entered perimenopause, I noticed that my body was not responding as it once did when I was younger, despite all my nutrition knowledge and exercise education.
What worked five and ten years ago no longer wasn’t cutting it, and eating a healthy, whole food diet was just not enough. My weight slowly started creeping up, and my sleep patterns became erratic and interrupted. I also craved sugar at night, leaving me feeling low in my moods and energy. I would wake up not having any motivation or energy to want to exercise.
Fasting, keto, and paleo diets weren’t helping me either, and they often worsened things. I thought increasing my exercise intensity would help my sluggish metabolism, but it didn’t move the scale. It made me feel more burnout and hungry, which often led to poor food choices.
So, I started researching for a program that worked consistently to balance hormones and metabolism for my clients with the same issues as me. My research led me to Metabolic Balance.
What is Metabolic Balance?
Metabolic Balance is a customised nutrition program that includes comprehensive blood testing of your hormones, digestion and inflammation markers. It helps to stabilise your metabolism, and improve detoxification and your nutritional status, guided by a personal coach to support you.

Yes, I also shed my excess belly fat, but the most significant benefit is how I feel alive and energised.

Hormones
Sleep improves as melatonin (sleep hormone) and serotonin (the feel-good hormone) normalise. Fat loss happens relatively quickly as the plan regulates insulin levels, the fat-storage hormone, and ignites the fat-burning mechanism. Food cravings also disappear as your metabolism begins to hold. Hormones become more balanced and in harmony, which helps to reduce menopause symptoms, hot flushes, and PMS symptoms improve.
Inflammation
As the foods selected for you based on your biochemistry reduce inflammation, joint pain, digestive issues, and brain fog, any inflammatory foods that are not good for your health are removed.
Digestion
